Wow, OP (or AV Club in generally) must really hate the idea of a movie that portrays the military in a positive light. It’s the second time Brit has mentioned this movie in a week, and the second time she’s called it military propaganda.

I know I’m a sucker for these kinds of movies, but I liked it.

Oh, I wish I’d seen this first, as I probably would have skipped it then. I’ve been a Rachel Taylor fan since interviewing her at SDCC several years back; she was very cool.

I’d like to think that the technology behind online commerce has improves significantly since the last time we had a next-gen console release. As I said above; phone manufactures manage annual world-wide launches of their produces pretty damn successfully.

Expected? I don’t know ... Apple, Google, Samsung and many others manage product launches with limited supplies multiple times a year. At some point you would expect online retailers to have this figured out.

Lol @ fucking internet judging culture. Your life will not significantly impacted by anyone else’s desire to purchase an Xbox on launch day or difficulties to do so. But you decided to be a feckless little punk about it. Congratulations on your 11 upvotes at my time of voting. Your mom must be real proud.

Well damn; they updated it.

Since Apple didn’t reveal last Wednesday’s iOS 14 launch was going to take place until last Tuesday, it’s no surprise that not every email client nor web browser has already been updated with the ability to be set as your default.

Yeah, I @’ed Kinja on twitter about it at one point, and their response was to disable the “Prevent Cross Site Tracking” setting in Safari. Then out of nowhere, an Apple Developer came in from the top rope and yelled at the @Kinja account for advising their users to lower security settings to use the site.

So you’re positing that Sorkin, whose political point of views are fairly well known, is secretly a ERA hater? Interesting.

If only Apple users, both on iOS and MacOS, could easily log into Kinja while using Safari without “Disabling Cross-Site Tracking” as was recommended to me by Kinja Tech Support on Twitter. Because disabling securing settings is always a good recommendation to make.

As someone who really liked the show, and has watched it twice, the organized, studious, “good kids” had the clean houses, and every one else did not. Seemed pretty spot on on to me.

I know, it’s such a great shock that a female conservative would have been against the ERA.

At one point JB says to SS, that he will be president one day. I could not help but think, if RL was up to it, they could bring back the show under a SS presidency.

Ah! It was the cleanliness of the houses that you felt unrealistic. That explains why the show failed.

Nothing like that at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I call shenanigans. Hall H isn’t the only thing that happens at SDCC. And the list of virtual panels that they put together was well-programmed. Even the Ballroom-20/Indigo Ballroom level stuff made available, from Star Trek to the Right Stuff was great, and the fun stuff you’d peak your head into in the smaller rooms

TV Journalists are normally the ones that host TV panels at SDCC. Some are admittedly better than others, but doing these Zoom chats — with the delays, the lack of a hot audience to save you, and easier interactions with the panel — is a much different animal.

Considering it is a feature that doesn’t exist yet for most users, no they wouldn’t be.

People who like Dark Mode on their iOS devices and use Facebook regularly.
