Ya know, I've had "Now, Voyager" sitting on my shelf for far too long. I'm gonna watch it tonight! Or tomorrow night or the night after or a year from today, but by God, I'm gonna watch it!

For a split-second I thought of "That Thing You Do!" as well even though it's technically not a romance. Maybe it's the title and how I wanna watch it just to hear that song again.

I'm a guy in his Fifties that you probably wouldn't hate (very few people do) and I love those Jesse & Celine movies. Maybe I should start reading Sassy. Sounds like they know what's up.

I work with someone named Nicanora, and every time I hear her name, I think of those two.

What about "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia"? Ya gotta love that one, right?

The film is epic in showing the arc of one man's life and how he profoundly enhances the lives of others. I've sometimes wondered if I've had that impact on any particular person or on a whole batch of people that I'll never be aware of. The reason why I like "City Lights" as a romance is cause the Little Tramp does

Everybody's entitled to their own opinions, but yeah, you're as cray they come. *wink* I think Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy are as genuine in their performances as Jesse and Celine are pretentious in their attempts to sound like they have some metaphysical understanding of the world around them. Romance is a very

Ideally they should be seen nine years apart to give you the sense of how much time has passed, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend that you wait that long. *wink*

*SPOILER ALERT*

Well, this forum proves that everyone has their own idea of what a romance film should ideally be. For some it's "Carol" and "But I'm a Cheerleader" while others like myself prefer "Before Sunrise" and "Groundhog Day." I like watching films that are outside of my own experience because I know that love and romance

Recently saw Max Landis rave about that film on "Trailers from Hell" with a friend and we agreed that we had to see it. I'll have to keep pushing him to make it happen cause we tend to get caught up in something and never see it through.

I'm a music geek who loves making pointless lists, so it's pretty much in my sweet spot.

Haven't seen it, but you make me wanna.

Yeah, the perfect romance film for guys who hate chick flicks like my buddy Gary who claimed "Before Sunrise" was one after I admitted it had no car chases, explosions, or gun fights.

Cause it was *spoiler alert* all a dream, so it doesn't really count.

Yeah, as I said elsewhere, it's the perfect S&M film for people who aren't particularly fond of S&M. Very romantic indeed!

That is so funny cause I mentioned that film as one I like in response to a comment just above yours. And I swear I wasn't copying you!

Along the same lines, I really enjoyed "The Lake House" with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.

Funny, I thought Gable's character was the Manic Pixie Dream Girl! Or were they taking turns at playing that role?

I'm shocked that isn't in my overstuffed DVD collection! Caught some of it on TCM recently and did find myself crying at times like an idiot. And chuckling as well, of course. Alvy's obsession with the Warren Commission report rang true for me cause I've been doing a lot of research on the JFK assassination this past
