Walk Hard is so good a parody, it may have buried the genre. Who can make a musical biopic without the inevitable comparison? Rocketman got a lot of praise for its flights of fancy, but that could only really work for a subject like Elton John, and can’t for everybody else. And I don’t know that I’d want each of these

I still can't believe she didn't win

Most of my favorite modern shows have completed their runs, but the ones that still remain- Atlanta, Barry, Better Call Saul, The Boys, Ozark, Stranger Things, and Undone all came back in 2022 so its been a great TV year for me so far. The only favorite that let me down was Killing Eve.

Agreed about Stranger Things. Whatever pre-release fuss was made about the hiatus and kids’ ages seems to have evaporated. Apparently the best tool for fighting criticism is awesome storytelling

I don’t think it was a good as Season 2, but it was still solid

The guy they found for Reacher is stunning, and it makes me wonder how Tom Cruise ever scored the role in the first place

I’m not saying “be nice to them” (Frankly, it’s troubling to see people assume that’s the takeaway.) My point is, HATE is what the other side is all about. We can’t let that be us too...

We must be done for if the mere suggestion that assassinations arent good is met with...”I’m cool with it.”

“Fart Knocker” lol

How scathing can it be when it’s done in the cutest way possible?

I’m someone who carelessly throws the “hate” word around alot when I’m mad, and even I feel like we need to be careful using that kind of language for this kind of discourse. Especially after a dude literally tried to assassinate one these judges over this... I’m furious over the decision, but Pro Life or Pro Choice,

What pisses me off is that we’re not talking about me.”-

“...like the arms of an octopus” lol. An apt metaphor for Republicans’ reach: as if their tentacles are taking over

The interesting thing about Civil War I was how clearly geographically defined it was with the North and South. CWII will be a lot more spread out and that complicates things (militarily).

Maybe he's ready for a divorce?

I liked Wonder. It made me cry in that way Pixar movies can. Manipulative? Maybe. But it hit the right buttons. Did I think it needed to be a franchise? Well now I do! Here's hoping they can cap off a trilogy

The problem at this point in the streaming multiverse is that there’s TOO MUCH new content to keep up with. If anything, a Star Wars spinoff is as FAMILIAR a thing as can be made.

Well said. Throughout the series Uncle Owen had an interiority to him that made him seem more interesting than the writing allowed him to be. And I know Leia wanted to know about her biological parents, but the people who truly raised her were standing right there, and I was waiting for that sort of realization,

Good points, both

The Batman.
