The normal teen/relationship show dynamic is that Archie only realizes his interest in Betty once she's in a relationship, I thought it was refreshing he didn't openly react that way and could somehow intuit that Jughead felt really guilty about it and needed verbal confirmation that didn't matter. It sort of

Aside from enabling the notebook it seemed like Jason did care for both Cheryl and Polly? I assume if he were cheating on Polly he's have appeared in the logs more and they wouldn't have burned future leads without taking snapshots?

Hermione and the mayor seem to get on well enough?

Oh yeah the comics have given themselves a number of excuses plus they have the whole sliding timescale thing. The films however haven't established these outs very well and don't really seem to care to but they have actors all over the place time wise and jump across decades somewhat haphazardly.

Mojo is a weird x-men villain from the early 90s that was sort of like a grotesque obese cyborg creature that was sort of like a studio exec or prescient about reality TV. He didn't seem like a big figure in the Legion series from the last couple years but I could see why there are a lot of fan theories about it.

They set weirdly specific dates aside from the first one, and then proceeded to not really care about anything at all.

Have you seen the American The Ring? I think I actually prefer it. A lot of Asian horror with ghosts seems to mostly skew towards atmosphere instead of gore. (Though of course lately a lot of them do have gore too)

Given how furiously they were ramming the fence to give the illusion of a fight I was a little convinced that Kevin and Joaquin were actually having sex by the dumpster.

Do the films really need new blood? They can already barely handle the characters they do opt to include, if the mass purges of characters between films is any indication. (I haven't seen Apocalypse still since I got sick of the movies being a minority snuff franchise, but apparently Jubilee got more lines in a viral

It kind of seemed like there were people in the actual world who acknowledged Lenny's existence, though that could easily end up being editorial slights of hand. It seemed like the doctor with David in Syd did see the corpse in the ceiling though.

I thought The Archies were a big part of the character's heritage and cultural footprint but yeah, for the most part the songs he writes haven't caught me.

My takeaway there was that she's been cowed into agreeing with whatever her mother says just to make her life easier, but that she was being closer to her true self by at least trying to pretend things were back to normal.

I liked the touch thay in his weird pursuit Trent goes with some extravagant spending in the same manner that Rachel does. Sure there's the whole flying across the country thing but it was a great touch he shopped around craft stores for a sufficiently large "top secret" stamp.

To be fair most of the men that Rebecca interacts with have been terrible. Darryl comes out the best and even then there was that whole thing about selling Whitefeather and being barely competent. Also Rebecca didn't really take him seriously or engage with him much this season since he was busier with his friend

Is Crazy Ex Girlfriend one of those shows? I mean nearly everyone is certainly attractive but they look like distinct people who could exist in the real world rather than the uncannily groomed.

I did wonder about that, I mean Betty and Veronica did seem terrible in the pilot but I admired how weirdly chaste the uniforms seemed to be.

I feel like him being the bitchy gay guy actually is an improvement since I read his first miniseries and that was essentially him as overly perfect model minority to preemptively deal with any backlash in introducing him. Granted I guess everyone in the pre-Waid or Sacasa comics nearly is sort of peachy keen innocent?

Last episode he did have a personality where he seemed weirdly into Archie's body and sex life. I kind of assumed that maybe he was going to be gay so I was a little surprised when all the Moose stuff went down instead.

She's the purple haired one on the far left. The main artist on the original run really quickly evolved his style from that more cartoony vibe of the first issue to the point it felt like he was rendering individual strands of hair towards the end. With the painted covers Jo Chen always skewed towards portraying a

I think when they teased the idea one of them had ulterior motives her parents alluded to the idea that she's secretly pretty bright but learned to play up the youth thing in order to make life easier.
