I'm not a terribly on the ball music score person but I thought there were the occasional fun twists in Dr. Strange. There was some bombast that made me think of 80s mystic movies and also there were some strange choices to have electric guitar and harpsichord going on at the same time or something.

Years ago Fuller was asked about his dream cast if he were to ever get a Star Trek series and he either reiterated it or someone rediscovered it when he actually did have the job for awhile. (The two key leads were Dawson and Bassett)

I felt that too, but it also sort of vindicates some editing last week where it seemed like Ford popped out of a wall from out of nowhere. It turns out he was emerging from the wall panel that Bernard couldn't see and thus the audience couldn't either.

It did kind of seem plausible that Tessa Thompson's character knew there was a risk posed by their plans and that she was willing to sacrifice Theresa since she made it clear she didn't like her personally, but liked her place in this quite likely sacrifice.

I don't know about the actual book but Wright has come up in interviews about the book and she cites some of his advice about content choices. That'd seem like they are on positive terms and still a component of her life that'd have maybe merited some coverage?

I think the arc still works fairly well— she was willing to do some fairly illegal things and was fixated on the idea of pairing Becks and Josh together even as she finally was getting her own life sorted out… and then there was the big number after Rebecca lashed out at her and she imploded her own end goals with the

On the other hand those compromises to deal with a hypothetically external threat helped contribute to their own downfall. (Then again I can't really defend in the real world how the warrior priest elite are supposed to be the only viable check and balance system in that world.)

I think it's the strong bonds and hazing rituals forged in the the house dorms that actively make it difficult for straight couples to spend time together?

I assumed from the name that Ian was Chinese or maybe Korean, had that ever been spelled out? I only read the first arc so far. (I also wasn't clear if the character was just gay or bi too?)

Yeah, he was exactly who I was thinking of with that sentence but I was being slightly vague since I wasn't sure if that could in any way be a spoiler.

Setting aside the fact that Asian people get angry when people of other national heritages play other Asians…

There's a special thanks section with a number of comic creators mentioned, even if they may not have ended up with any financial benefit.

Well I can see how some people might find the racial dynamics a little weird (even though the show has shown a pretty diverse range of extras as clothed hosts, guests, and employees).

I've been consistently impressed by how much they gave many one off characters enough personality that they feel like lived in entities, even if we have no idea if we'll ever see them again. There's basically no chance we'll see that camp manager who just wants donations, the gossipy window washers, or the fondue

He did have a storyline when he first appeared and maybe they like him but he's too busy or they can't afford to use him on a more regular fleshed out basis? Like that woman from MadTV with the sick snake and the cup that over floweth hasn't been seen for awhile either.

It would be sort of douchey and Bad Place-like to give someone the impression they were getting to a better place but being stuck with the pointless journey and learning you'd still have to go back since Heaven forgot you existed and didn't bother asking for your return?

The logistics of this heaven are still a little confusing to me. They can have clothing delivered by Janet on demand and fly under special circumstances but there are a ton of other mundane components to their lives still like waiting in line and varied implications about whethe or not they can die or get hurt.

Stable yes, but in hindsight who on this show counts as mature? Whijo did have some epiphanies when he was 7 about his physique and how it made him feel but he also sort of seemed to be played as about as dumb as main Josh, like not understanding loaner jackets and that he can't keep them.

It really depends on context. Like hypothetically someone of the heritage might better understand the context?

There are some cases where some people find food to still be offensive as I've learned. Like there was this whole conflict in the Flip community about how some American magazine or website did a salute to halo-halo but their toppings were considered unnuanced and sort of bastardization of shaved ice, popcorn, and
