There was that Joseph Kahn movie Detention and I thought that it was pretty entertaining and Cook did well enough. (I know at least one of those is an unpopular opinion)

In terms of purely nitpicking: There was no time to squeeze in Lee Pace, Jonathan Tucker is so intriguingly weird it felt as though his character ought to have been a bigger player based purely on his casting in the role, and ever since he brought it up I feel like it'd have been utterly fascinating if Fuller actually…
It's sort of a crime that Constance Wu wasn't nominated since even with everyone getting more material (aside from the grandma) Wu still basically runs away with the show. (Props for Yang though, I'm finally really enjoying him as much as I was put off by the real Eddie Huang's persona)
What are supporting visual effects anyway versus the other kind of visual effects? Did they specifically nominate the human corpse origami heart nightmare flesh stag? (I can't remember which episode is which since I don't know the order food courses arrive in)
Michelle Yeoh has been doing action movies into her 50s and there are a couple other wu xia icons still in the game but yeah they're even less known.
I'm not sure if it was a local thing but I was in a Target and saw they've already discounted the merchandise even if the movie isn't out yet? I'm curious what drove that.
Actually it's kinda weird that so many of his shows approached gayer/LGBT-er content but for various reasons didn't get around to it more explicitly.
I'm still not sure I understood the cat thing, what gave it away to Gustav? The fact it was merely a thing with a brain or was it supposed to be bobbing its head in time with the music? Was it supposed to be meowing counterpoint to the song?
Ditto but even a little bit later! I was long aware the show was going to exist but I was not expecting it to already be on air with little to no fanfare since I avoid basically everything CBS has to offer.
Wait, what are the three hits? Two X-Men and Juno? Since that doesn't feel remotely right but I assume Whip It or whatever that roller derby movie is called was not secretly massive, as affable it was. (Does Hard Candy count as hit by its own metrics?)
I think in this new season they finally gave her more opportunity to both debate science but also interact with some people who aren't tied into her romantic life. Unfortunately she is still sort of one of the go-tos for mortal peril even though I enjoy her sense of humor which she seldom gets to whip out.
I dig Cosima from Orphan Black but I know a lot of fans find her storylines focusing on either science or her relationships a little tedious.
It seems like they really want to expand the premise beyond the books, there was a press release saying someone who explicitly appeared in maybe one chapter was starting off as a guest star with the potential to expand into a regular in the second season?
Yeah I was way more expecting Hannibal but it's sort of delightfully insane details like the barstools also being in the shape of gators which I imagine weren't actual touches for this section of the book. It does make me wonder how on earth they're going to portray that House on a Cliff in later seasons if this is…
There have been other people who manage to play damaged people straight but seem incredibly wel adjusted, like… Uh, my best examples are Adam Driver as basically everyone I've seen him play aside from that cowboy in Inside Llewyn Davis, and Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls?
I thought somehow that Helena must have murdered Jason off camera since he hurt her precious baby ox?
I'm not sure he ever had a man bun, it's just he had the weird retro beard and glasses. I also wondered why he ominously wore oversized ridiculous earmuffs?
Rachel's met Sarah, Cosima, Alison as Sarah, and maybe encountered Krystal even though the latter one was probably passed out?
I've also heard that the show is kind of vague on other things though, like alluding to American-style law that doesn't read as natural to Canadians (alluding to the feds, apparently criminal law can get to be pretty different, etc). Granted I'm not Canadian so maybe if they did go more accurate I wouldn't understand…
I think they've used the metric of "they're judging the show against itself" but yeah, I can understand why that system is frustrating.
