It was from the TV show, Young Indiana Jones, which had a framing device in then present day but I think they cut those bits from the DVD rerelease.

When did he look like the crypt keeper?
I read the article in the hyperlink to procrastinate. It explains the place closed in the mid-80s but once they heard people were going to develop the land they must have restored it before moving it to their corporate headquarters. (Hence the pictures of it on a moving truck too.)
Yeah, that's what I meant by the unilateral impact of the films. Then I sort of lost interest in the middle of my sentence it seems…
Yeah, I thought it was a little dumb some people simultaneously consider the Marvel movies too complex while complaining about how they play to the lowest common denominator for—at worst—being fairly competent/average (this is mostly Incredible Hulk and stretches of Thor 2 IMO).
Doesn't that kind of mean they get extended pre-/post-production (which would be good)?
So instead of octave did they mean octane? Altitude? (That one could suggest rarefied air but in my head it makes me think breathing problems?)
Ah, my parents were watching it and I feel generally uncomfortable with movies about parenting difficult offspring in their presence. Also movies dealing with mentally-challenged characters in general, since they often seem gauche and/or maudlin.
Yeah, I figured it was that too but for all the awareness Jet Li's character has about what would probably ensue, he's dishonorably and exceedingly murdered on his way out the palace, which calls his judgment into question.
Or it's just the suit, for all we know Happy or Pepper could be inside. (That said I also lean towards Marvel being somewhat aware of backlash enough they would want to avoid definitively killing Rhodey)
It sort of makes sense that character-wise the teenage boy would want to cover his face for the illusion of authority? He might also lean into the brighter colors though now I've typed that it just feels wrong.
I thought most people's issues with the Hulk movie weren't the style but the underlying story which tried to bring more human drama and contemplation. My issue was the final half-hour-ish after San Francisco.
It seems like Li partially made good on his promise not to do contemplative martial arts movies any more, I watched a bit of his straight drama where he played the single terminally ill father of a deeply mentally challenged son.
Isn't New Police Story the one that murders someone with Lego? Granted I guess all the extreme sports kids suffered from affluenza and lack of parental love.
I have a personal anecdote to sort of glom onto that though— so many of my elementary school friends ended up being somewhere within the LGBT community once we grew up and had already parted ways. There weren't all that many shared interests or personality traits that might have accounted for any intentional selection…
Anytime I hear about famous sisters I can't help but think of the Schuyler Sisters from Hamilton.
I just watched Spy and was a little surprised they got away with an erection in an R movie, since I thought those were supposed to be verboten.
Is there any distinction between cis-gender and -sexual? I do try to remain vaguely up on preferred terminology but there are always different and occasionally opposing views within a community.
Yeah, I think cruelty to Maya is a more interesting alternative to that Whitefeather staff member from MadTV.
I feel a little betrayed they don't have the hand claps in West Covina. Also in some cases I feel like the lyric changes between the cleaner and explicit versions would have made them better bonus tracks than the demos, even if it is neat hearing the initial conceptions of some of the songs.
