A cursory read of Jeff Monson’s beliefs tell me he’s very sane. Am I to believe the author of this article does not believe in American Imperialism?

“At first, PlayStation customer support offered to switch his PSN name to something else.”

I didn’t say he had grace in general, I said he displayed grace in this one specific situation. Also, he’s 20-something year old.

It is a shithole; but it’s very segregated. It’s like having Rodeo Drive right in the middle of a ghetto in Detroit. Or, even more acuratelly, having Monaco as the capital of Liberia.

Wow, thanks! That was really helpful. I am Brazilian and have never lived abroad, so the exposure I get is from TV and the Internet. The comma is the most difficult one because it’s very different. A well-written Portuguese text has a lot more commas than it otherwise would were it in English.

The only approach that can fix western countries is the pitchfork and torches approach.

The politicians get points with the population. This was the Labour Party’s idea. As much as I think they are being unjustly scape-goated and what’s happening here is a coup d’etat, they’ve made it increadibly easy to hate them.

Punctuation and common idiomatic expressions are a problem for me. I usually will resort to an obscure word when a much commoner one could convey the same meaning only because the latter does not occur to me first.

I’m sorry, but as soon as you said you taught rhetorical composition I’ve failed to remain interested in the topic of pewdiepie.

I’m not really a fan. I’m too old for that. And he was jesting. It’s impossible to provide proper context throught text if the text comes from verbal utterances because those have tones and inflections not present in written text.

I’m actually glad they did this. Otherwise my grandfather would keep asking me about whether he would lose his files should he cancel his satellite subscription.

No, you’re just jealous. He handled the situation with grace.

Seriously, the amount of people thin-skinned enough to complain about his joking that he could buy the house (which is true) and the use of the word ‘normal’ (which meant ‘average’, i.e.: not a millionaire like him) is amazing. Especially given the circumstances. He was evicted without notice most likely because his

English is not his first language and it’s pretty obvious he meant “average”. He is displaying concern over people who might undergo the same ordeal as him whilst not being fortunate enough to be a millionaire. Also, please, read my first comment on this thread.

I don’t think he did. I think you did because you obviously didn’t watch the video so you couldn’t infer from his tone that he was jesting, thenceforth just assuming the worst about him and his statement.
Take a note from me: I will assume you are not as judgemental and sanctimonious as your comment made you sound and

Ironically, two fucking horrible teams.

ZING!

I’m sorry if I came across as insulting. It wasn’t my intention. But no one is saying, for example, that a white person can not wear dreadlocks. It’s not that simple. I don’t doubt someone in this thread might have made some such point, but when I say that these points aren’t being made, I mean by the relevant people

everyone saying that people of a certain race should dress a certain way or wear things of another culture because those are reserved for only people of that culture.

On a semi-related note: I never understood the “choice” argument. What if homossexuality were a choice? It’s the person’s choice, not yours.
