My local broadcaster cut to a recorded interview while Silva made his winning jump. So pissed off I tweeted for the first time.
Exactly- the sex part of this isn’t the issue. Don’t kick your team mate out of their own friggin’ room.
Hmmm, I actually think that’s harsh on Henderson - I just think his footballing ability actually doesn’t stack up to his attitude, but I like that he’s trying. He’s just never enough of a real influence on enough games for me.
The only thing I would say to that, is that I think it’s really easy to think the human race has been close to finding its limits through the Olympic games, because of how global it has been for so long, but I’d say that there are large swathes of the human gene-pool yet to be tapped by sport.
No, not Clyne sorry. What do you see in him? I don’t think he’s creative enough when he has to hold up play - echos of Glen Johnson for me.
This article is strange. I hate ManU but love Zlatan (this is not uncommon, as a Liveprool fan I have loved so many of ManU’s players, from Cantona to Berbatov), and even though I love Zlatan, I didn’t think this strike was that brilliant. I don’t think he meant the placement at all...yep, sorry I’m being a highlight…
Agreed - was an odd way of describing a bunch of players who came 8th last year. I mean, we’re not talking about a team who made 8th and everyone said they should’ve done better and their stars failed to reach potential. No, we’re talking about a bunch of players who came 8th and even their own supporters said “ yeah…
37 year old lifetime LFC fan here. I agree with you - Henderson is not a star. Love his attitude, but I hated when he was made captain - he’s a good stop gap solution for this LFC era and I hope he’s not a long term solution for whatever problem he solves.
I don’t know what it was, maybe the fact I’ve watched so many Bolt races now, but I didn’t panic at all. I was waiting for him to hit full speed and I could see that Gatlin had reached his full speed as I was waiting for Bolt to reach his.
Fair enough.
Look up some youtube vids of the old days - search Serevi. I prefered it back them when it was more “amateur”. A lot more avoiding big hits, which meant side steps and finding the gaps. Oh wait, you said you wer in NFL withdrawal.....anyway, just try it.
PS - as someone else said- technically they are called the All Blacks Sevens -you are right in that regard. That was introduced a few years ago. I’m just one of the many All blacks fans who think I know a lot of other AB fans and we all hate the name being used by the NZRU on the Sevens and the Maoris teams. We may…
Technically you’re right, but the majority of hard-core NZ rugby fans I know simply don’t and won’t use the term All Blacks to refer to the 7s team, and I think it’s fair that rugby fans feel ownership over things like this to at least a degree where we can talk about it when having discussions on an American sports…
yup. many hardcore NZ rugby fans see the 7s as almost Harlem Globe Trotters-like. Sorry that’s the best analogy I could come up with. ie; they don’t even view it a “real” rugby.
Japan was the surprise. Not so much being beaten by Great Britain. England have been a top side in the 7s for a while now.
The Real goal should have been posted, but let’s not pretend it means that much. It’s like if the winners of the EPL and Championship had a game at the start of the next season. Fair bit of pride at stake but nothing more.
lol, for some reason I’ve really enjoyed your replies in this thread.
”He was apprehended by police mid-flee, “sweating profusely and pale in color.”
Liverpool fan here. It felt like an Arshavin inflicted defeat. I’ll let you off.
