I agree with your cynicism, but I also agree that there is a line fans won’t cross. This is not a failing sport that needs new formats to keep it alive - I do believe this is a format that would fundamentally change things enough to cause a revolt. I play these games on easy - to make the shoot-out last as short as possible.
