The latest x-men movie made slightly less domestically than captain america, and more overseas, so i don't think the gulf in demand is as big as the output of products suggests.

Five years ago, those same places had x-men stuff all over the place. Marvel used to promote them like crazy. They don't do that any more. You're right, it's their business so they can promote what they want but i don't think the x-men suddenly became unpopular to the point that nobody wanted to sell their stuff,

Go to any store, target, drug stores, supermarkets, toy stores etc, and all you'll see is non-x-men marvel stuff. It's hard not to notice they're pushing their cinematic properties. It's their right to do that of course, but it's pretty odd to pretend it isn't happening. Everything from kids coloring books and

Actually i think it makes more sense for people to make totally arbitrary distinctions between mutants and non mutant super powered people.

How did Chekov not notice that an entire planet went missing from a solar system in Wrath of Khan?

I disagree. I hate precocious children on TV, and the actress who plays Catwoman in this is especially bad. The show would be better off Without Bruce too, or at least only have him on a couple times per season.

I never really understood why people hated his death in Generations. He saved the day twice, why is a collapsed bridge considered so undignified?

Apparently the magna carta wasn't something that most people knew about in Shakespeare's time, outside of the upper classes. It only took on greater meaning in later times.

It really isn't as bad as that. It certainly isn't one of his better plays, but if you like Shakespeare, you should give it a try. Though it is funny that he managed to write a play about John without mentioning either Robin Hood or the Magna Carta, the two things we remember him for now.

This is considered good artwork now? Is it just me, or does the AV club way overpraise pretty mediocre art on a regular basis?

It's amazing how regularly the people they bring in for this series end up sounding really dumb.

Does it? I remember hating it as a kid. I think it's where my hatred for cg animation in general originated.

I liked the original bug-eyed emperor.

Fox isn't floundering. The latest x-men movie almost doubled the previous franchise worldwide box office total.

Star Trek works best as a semi-anthology show. Each episode dealing with a different idea/scenario with a likable crew but not too much serialization. The real problem with Enterprise was the cast. They weren't good enough to overcome the bad material that has come with every series.

I just really hate Whedon and his awful dialogue.

This was much funnier than any Whedon movie. Easily the best of the marvel studios movies so far.

Me too. Its character set was just much more interesting than Bran, Daenarys etc.

I hated all the Dorne stuff. If next season is just Brienne's adventures, Cersei screwing everything up and Mance duping the Boltons I'd be happy.

Unfortunately Oberyn was the last really good character Martin introduced in the books. I liked Feast for Crows but i think the showrunners will be cutting out most of the stuff from that book that were fun. I'm afraid it might be all downhill from here.
