It took the number one spot and held second place for many years, it also simultaneously held the top 6 entries of the Green 500 list of performance per watt.

I think Tactics Ogre was the superior game but FF Tactics gets all the fame.

The Cell wasnt salting the Earth, it was using the most powerful and cost efficient processor available (which was borne out with Cell becoming the basis for most supercomputers for quite a few years afterwards), though it meant coding was a lot harder as it was a new architecture.

I wouldnt put it past Microsoft to have done some salting of the earth, deliberately included incompatibilities in their compilers generation of native code to stop people easily running the Xbox software on their PC’s whilst still trying to make the code as common as possible to help developers.

They are not exploiting the software, the code of the game. They are exploiting the hardware, turning it off while saving so that the save data is corrupted by the hardware then loading that saved data and using that as the basis for their run.

Its not even modding the game, its corrupting the hardware to alter game data. Its no different than if I used a memory editor to change the room number so that I instantly warped to the last room in the game. Or how about If I patched the game so that selecting ‘Start New Game’ instantly played the end credits? Time

As a PC gamer we are used to those kind of launch issues but the console manufacturers pride themselves on games working out of the box to an acceptable production standard as anything less harms the brand.

In which case I dont think the McDonalds China executives would ever be seen again. Probably enjoying a complementary parachuting trip over the Ocean- Parachutes not provided.

You didnt mention the destroyed mass effect relay (which again points to the destroy ending). With the loss of the relays most galactic travel would be shut down as ships are limited to short distance jumps unless technology improves significantly.

A freind is trying to get her son PS4 Miles Morales but cant find a physical copy anywhere, online stores are cancelling orders. I presume its people buying the PS4 version to play the PS5 version.

I spotted a difference with my version of Sonic, it says Mega Drive on the front rather than Genesis. Genesis sounds like some cheap religious cash in, probably as Mega Drive sounded too technical for american consumers.

Big headliner studios are at the mercy of their shareholders and creditors and even a successful studio can find itself having to borrow if a project goes overbudget or a previous game flopped. If a predatory studio buys up that debt from the banks they can perform a hostile take over by calling in debt or exercising

Agree One Piece would be impossible to do live action without looking like Shaolin Soccer. I think Princess Mononoke and Hunter X Hunter would be good live action films though.

Its nothing to do with internal architecture but software. On Xbox the game is running natively. On PS5 its running as emulated PS4 software, they havent recompiled the game into a native PS5 application. While it probably wouldnt take much adaptation to get the game to compile they would have to deal with any

Yeah and the time periods are different too, 6 days for Microsoft and 4 for Sony.

On PS5 Sounds like a glitch in the games, possibly not discerning between external and internal storage and pushing the external storage beyond its capability, if the problem goes away when you disconnect the external drive it certainly isnt a problem with the PS5 hardware. On the Xbox sounds like not all the data

No issues here, YoutubeGB working fine.

Remastered doesnt really offer much at this point, probably an excercise in raising money for the next games development and reviving the franchises profile. Im more interested in the big choice they will have to make, continue with the planned new trilogy in a different galaxy in the distant future or go back to the

You can do the same on PS5, you can use USB hard drives as long term storage just moving the games you dont want to play on to it and copying back the games you do.

Sshh, games without Ray Tracing and lower res textures, a disc less console with a small amount of space. One might think Microsoft threw a dud out just to be cheapest.
