This is the right stance. Mercedes and Bottas both knew he was never going to be given preference and win the hierarchy of team orders over Lewis. Bottas did an exceptional job following team orders, remaining competitive and getting along well with Lewis.

Right? Bottas has filled the Rubens Barrichello role at Mercedes as good as anyone could have.

I don’t get the Bottas hate- in the last 5 years he’s finished the season 3rd, 5th, 2nd, 2nd and he’s currently 3rd in standings - giving Lewis the Drivers, and Mercedes the Constructors in the same 5 years. What more do you want?

Did Bottas not win enough in a pretty unbeatable Merc? Yes. Did he have an opportunity to win? Not really.

Its the Arrowverse template which Legends ripped up along time ago.

Arrow was on a steep downhill trajectory from the moment they did that to Sara in the opening episode of that season no less.

I still need the Laurel 2 and or Nyssa cameo.

He didn’t ignore it. He backed off massively in the last sector to allow Lewis to beat his lap time by 1.4 seconds.

I have found both The Flash and Supergirl to often have this form of hyper-aggressive optimism, where believing everything won’t turn out okay is treated like a moral failing.

I thought I had woken up in 2018 with all this Stroll hate.

You need a Snickers today dude.

I’m not one to defend Bradley, but that’s a really dumb argument. There’s nothing wrong with what he said there.

Blackstock is a lot more passionate about racing than Bradley, I like her writing style better anyway.

Thanks for all your great work here & elsewhere! You’ve been a stellar part of the AV Club. Hope the change in your work situation means good things for you and yours.

Caity Lotz is everything. As long as the show has her as Sara I think it will be fine. I will miss Mick but I like the lineup a lot right now. Nate had a lot of  good moments in  this episode, I like him stepping up as Sara & Ava’s right hand guy providing whatever they need, including marrying them

Yeah, it’s a classic stable time loop: Spooner goes back in time and saves her mother’s life, in the process sending her younger self into the future, where she’ll eventually go back in time and save her mother’s life.

None of those other alien invasions were successful, were they?

I know it’s from the opposite end of the island of Ireland but Young Offenders is another great one.

Yup. Given how Routh talked about how he was unhappy with how they ended his tenure on LoT it's great to see the situation was rectified.

BSG reboot. I am generally of the opinion that modern remakes are [usually] pointless and stupid, and why in Dio’s name do they have to gender swap two of the characters to pretend like they’re throwing a bone to feminism? Inserting/expanding women into LOTR and The Hobbit were terrible choices, and this is going to
