For regular consumer use, chrome plating has pretty much disappeared here in CA. But the problem is there is still an industrial use for chrome plating, and it’s not clear if there is an alternative.

Love the way chrome looks - particularly on a classic.  But this is the right move.  Chrome plating is needlessly toxic.

Hey now, I owned a V6 RAV4 and it was a hoot - it was obvious to me when they were available that this would be the last time I’ll see something like that from Toyota.
