It’s not radar it’s Tesla Squiggle Bits (TM) you fucking pedos

Kinda like saying you want an old brown diesel manual wagon when deep down you know you really, really don’t.

I don’t get it. Are they saying the lessees will be forced to update their car via OTA which will later increase the lease payment? What will be in the OTA’s? Do customers pay for the OTA? Features? Bug fixes? Recalls? There’s so much missing information in this article blog.

eMachines baby!

I specified on my tip that I wanted it to go to Jeff though...

Well the footage of the accident should be fantastic.

For sure. There are many ways the dealers could fuck this up, and only a few that would be advantageous to both parties.

Seems pretty silly to have someone at your store that sells cars and not try to sell them a car....

I mean, we don’t know whether or not it’ll increase sales until they try. A good dealer (a stretch, I know) would embrace the opportunity, and given that GM is about to have quite a few EV’s to sell, it may just result in more GM EV adoption.

True. As a former car salesman, I can tell you 1. that getting people in the door is always the hardest part of any sale and 2. I sold a lot of cars to people who had no intentions of driving home in a new vehicle that day.

That’s kinda the point though isn’t it? If the dealers put in the chargers, it will force people to stop at the dealership when they’d rather go somewhere else. The biggest winner is the dealership in that equation, so the fact GM has so much pushback is really silly.

The GMC dealer I used to work for would be a perfect spot to plop down some EV chargers. It’s right on the cusp of entering Minneapolis proper, and thousands of cars commute past every day. I know they put a level 1 in their service bay, but don’t think they have any plans for adding more charges. Dumb of them if you

I may be in the minority, but I’ve never understood car shows for only one model of car. Like, GT-R’s are cool, but I don’t need to see a million of them all at once.

I’m trying to think of a scenario where a commuter EV NEEDS to go 0-60 a second faster or have 70 more HP. That said, if it’s a one time payment, then why not? It’s like tuning a GTI but getting to keep the factory warranty.

Evidently (according to Matt Farah) the front lip on those would shake violently when goin over 150/160. He did a car rally in one with Rob Spaghetti and they ended up removing it.

LOL, ok.

Where’s Brian Spilner when you need him????

Interesting, I haven’t had those issues. That said, MN winters are never above freezing, so it’s basically only sub 30 degree driving for 4 straight months.

I’m currently running the 3rd winter (2nd for me) on my Blizzaks and they still kick all the ass. They turn the A4 into a winter driving beast.

Why would it not be?
