In my experience and from what I've seen the head gaskets aren't as much of a problem as has been reported. Also, it usually only happens once in the 250K+ lifetime...And I have never heard of the diesels having that problem. Shoot, they ran those in the Dakar production class and won for a couple years, they gotta be

Just wait a couple years and import a Land Cruiser 80 series Diesel from 1997 from Canada. Thats my plan...

Second on the Rainforest Challenge.I was listening to a guy who has done it, they had to winch off a tree to get out of the feet thick mud/muck, but because the jungle was so dense even with a machete they couldn't get within 2 feet of the tree trunk itself. So nuts...

Working on my neighbor's 1991 XJS convertible... Its like swimming in a grimy oil pit with just touching the engine bay, but otherwise a pretty red thing with that huge lump up front. now if only they could have made power steering hoses easier to access than dropping the rack and/or subframe...

ummm feed?

Blame CAFE. The algorithm they use doesn't allow for small diesels like a Hilux or Ford Global Ranger.

carbon dioxide would build up anyway just from exhalation. I just wanted make sure people understood the danger.

Yeah I see your point, but even with the car not especially with more than one person oxegen runs out quick. I sleep in my Landcruiser as do buddies of mine and we all know to keep windows cracked. I just want to make sure people know the dangers regardless.

I might have missed it but there is danger in camping in the car. My father's friends died from carbon dioxide poisoning because they didn't crack a window. Always remember to allow air in and out of car if sleeping in it while not running the fan.

Ha. Well done.

So...most of the GT drivers who drive stick (many times) professionally prefer the stick...versus paddle shifting open wheel drivers who prefer auto/DSG/Paddles...Not really terribly surprising... Dan Clarke's answer was poignant though.

Yes. Always. If i had the cash I'd buy the one for sale in Florida right now.

I'd pay. but how many of us really would do this. or even if all of jalopnik did would it pay for the licenses for broadcast let alone infrastructure and overhead for the channel(s)? Doubtful. As long as they can beef up Speed2.com and not delete it I'll be mildly happy, though the connection can be fickle sometimes...

well, not so much the being married part, its the being able to live well and as a few pointed out, its the kids that will really change things. Not really super scared, just wanting to make sure I do all I can for my future spouse.

Any person who decides to get married. It is one giant and only mildly informed leap of faith to be committed to one person for the rest of your life. Its daring, its hair raising, its frustrating, its dangerous, its all the things the typical daredevil does, but for a much, much longer period of time and far, far

They should add that to Kimi's as well for taking out Alonso's car...

Thanks guys, and I would agree that its possible certain investments might be a good idea but government should not be first money in and not without substantial private backstops and risk management.

Direct investment is not the right way to go with taxpayer money. DARPA and other research is fine and creates a number of advancements that private industry picks up on and runs with. Tax breaks, credits and non-direct investment is fine. But this is not the role of government to invest in business that should be

Thankfully my DVR records any new "Auto Racing" that comes on SpeedTV. But ive been following on Speed2. But I didn't realize it was there till an instagram post from a friend at the race. Seems the Maserati Trofeo Series was there too. No airing on that on TV though.
