If you are crying about a game having some sort of punishment then I don’t see how you play games at all. Most games are way more punishing when you die or screw something up. Perhaps stick to eating crayons on the playground?

What did you expect, it’s how these games have ALWAYS been. The world runs in real time (well on a day to day real time). Weeds grow, mail comes, and in the old games villagers would completely move away. It’s hardly punishing though especially now that the weeds are useful. Older games Weeds would be a nightmare. 

It released as a separate SKU with all the DLC (which is typical), the “fiasco” is only the SKU for the Ultimate Edition is getting the free PS5 version upgrade when available. It’s not a fiasco, just a day 1 purchasers being entitled babies.
