They want what they have always wanted, to sell software, Microsoft have always had and will continue to have the biggest market share in gaming because that’s how they won the war for operating systems. 

They probably played, or replayed it on PC with all the mods and community patches to fix it, which when you add in some of the better game mechanics of 2 make it pretty decent.  I think most people just wish they could replay 1 or both of them in more modern engines, but failing that you get modded out to hell 2.

To be honest this just reminded me not to even consider the games, I was actually pretty excited to replay them hoping they would be proper remasters, but they’re basically just the mobile versions of the games.

That only works in the US market, and even then its dubious, other markets its totally illegal to have no class action clauses and EULAs are largely unenforceable in courts anyway outside specific cases that usually aren’t relevent to consumers.
