The viewing angles issue I think actually gives it a bit of retro flair, maybe I’m just old, but having handhelds that don’t have narrow viewing angles is wierd and in some ways I view as a bit of a feature.

If there were cheap and abundant wouldn’t you use them more like paper, I know I actually start to do similar these days. If batteries didn’t degrade and people actually kept software up to date I think it would actually proliferate more as a way to use devices even today.

Honestly some people need to grow up, much of sci-fi and fantasy is military themed and focussed on themes of war including many of the hallmarks of the genre that are greatly lauded. Many of the authors in the genre are former military officers or have worked in defence, including many if not most of the early

Possibly, but there’s ways around that, the obvious would be building it out as a ship on a lagoon which would at least justify the extreme cost and actually look like a landed space ship!

Its a bit much to try to interpret accents across multiple planets, several thousands years and at least one near total anhilalation of the species. Cultures as much as we think them unique tend to be driving by external factors as much as anything else, North Africans are a combination of history and environment and

Just to point out the average number of hours to pass a test in terms of lessons is between 10-14 and drivers are expected and encouraged to drive with supervision from a qualified driver for at least the same amount of time. The test also isn’t easy, you don’t get a lot of leeway in the test at all and examiners have

It is cool, but you’ve been able to do similar for a while in almost real time, and if you are driving it off mocap its very different from a rigged character driven by some other logic. It’s very cool to get it running in real time, but I also can’t see how they are running as how impressive it is will very much

I could see some of the appeal for that, but to be fair that’s basically youtube and media outlets don’t generally(although some do) put full episodes of TV up.

Do these companies not get that the ship sailed, the markets long past saturated and if you don’t have the offering, which they don’t, you won’t get the viewers. Even Disney for all its might is doing ok, but suffering for the subscribe occasionally model because its not as prolific as Netflix and doesn’t have “you

To  be fair Netflix in the UK is worth it because it has a lot of BBC content so you get to avoid paying the license fee to use iplayer, you just wait for it go to Netflix and also watch it in better quality than iplayer.

To be honest this just reminded me not to even consider the games, I was actually pretty excited to replay them hoping they would be proper remasters, but they’re basically just the mobile versions of the games.

That only works in the US market, and even then its dubious, other markets its totally illegal to have no class action clauses and EULAs are largely unenforceable in courts anyway outside specific cases that usually aren’t relevent to consumers.

Cultic looks awesome and has a Blood feel to it, which has a soft spot as it was the game I was banned from playing growing up and played anyway!

I’ve had an ereader since they came out, and bizarelly other than the display that first Sony PRS-700 was still better than all my ereaders since hardware wise.

What nonsense, while my parents grew up working class I grew up very comfortable and my life was one of relative privelage, while I wasn’t spending my time on superyachts, I wanted for nothing and had all my education paid for by my parents or the state and I didn’t have to work until I chose to.

He doesn’t need to, which is my point with the above, even the interest on cash would pay for his lifestyle let alone an actual investment. Which he’s got plenty of by the metric of anyone it just pales in comparison to the holding in the company he founded.

You think too much about it, they just don’t care, it isn’t greed or selfishness, if you meet people like that they’re pretty split between people that love what they do i.e. Musk clearly loves his job, or they just don’t care at all and live a life like everyone else and the wealth just sits there paying for real

It’s your definition of wealthy that’s wrong, those are all people that DO notice, they have money, but usually top end of middle class money. If you are in the very high wealth category and care its usually because you have a lot of employees and care about it in respect to overheads.

The right response is to go out and buy more, prices is deflated by a big dump is the time to buy since that doesn’t impact the fundamentals.

He will have a dividend element to some of his holdings, likely enough to provide a reasonable level of income. He will also be sitting on fairly major cash holdings from things like property sales.
