I agree with you on both takes. Rogue One became one of my favorite Star Wars movies and Solo I just thought was good fun. Hard to fill the shoes of Harrison Ford and I thought Alden Ehrenreich did as good a job as one could.

Agreed. These movies steal from others. Lucas stole from Tolkien. So what? He made his fantasy story in space instead of Middle Earth. You can argue The Avengers movies follow the same arc. In the end they are all a battle of Good vs. Evil. It’s how the movies and characters capture you is what matters.

Well, maybe I am the minority, but I really enjoyed Rouge One and Solo. Sure, they are kind of tied to the Skywalker Saga in a way but I thought they stood well on their own.

The Star Wars series needs a face lift. Finish the saga this year and jump to new stories. Jon Favreau is working in the Mandalorian series, I would like to see him involved on the movie side. He was a huge part of the production of the Avengers success.
