How is that a reasonable comparison?
What’s unfair for women in sport isn’t necessarily unfair for men in sport. There’s a difference between competing against the best athletes on the planet vs competing against the best female athletes on the planet.
Why does it have to be measurable? Why not e.g. a vote of female athletes? Or if you want to reduce conflicts of interest, how about a vote of retired female athletes?
Hey, thanks for making comments about soccer into something else about Trump!
I know it sucked as a Canadian cheering for Melissa Bishop at the Olympics knowing she basically had no chance at winning because the 3 athletes ahead of her were high T suspects. Is it more important to be fair to the 3 that podium because they have a significant hormone advantage or fair to the others?
There is only one criterion in sports that levels the playing field for those born with an advantage, and that is the separation of the two sexes. This is because the trait splits the population evenly in half, and confers a massive advantage to one group across nearly all sports. It is a distinction that we’ve…
This is a good thing.
It’s really astonishing the lengths that this site will go to make sure they’re constantly adhering to the most orthodox viewpoints. Are there people who actually enjoy content like this? It doesn’t even attempt to look at the issue from anywhere other than a predetermined position.
I think if you are willing to approach this subject honestly, it should be obvious that a line must be drawn somewhere. If not, the logic eventually leads to acceptance of a single “open” division between the sexes, effectively extinguishing women’s athletics.
How’s that again? If you’re talking about immigrants from Central and South America, they will, in all likelihood, be watching on Telemundo anyways. Also, if you think our dipshit president could do anything that would keep football fans from watching the World Cup, you’re an idiot. Or was this just all about…
Trying to scam your way from 1st to 3rd is a time honored tradition among teenagers, or uhhh, middle aged internet commenters.
I feel like this advice is pretty good for the problem of “my husband plays video games too much” and pretty awful for the writer’s actual problem, which is, “my husband doesn’t want to have sex with me.”
I used to love doing that, but there hasn’t been an NCAA football game in five or six years and there probably never will be again.
From the sound of it, a lot of rich guys who do buy a club with higher league ambitions also want to be overly involved with every little detail. Business acumen does not make you a football manager.
I’ve always wondered why more ultra rich people don’t by 3rd tier teams and try to get them promoted all the way to the premier league. Seems like it’d be fun...
Thank the Lord this was not a game involving STL. That’s all I have to say.
Just get your kids to play left handed, it’s not that difficult to stop winning by a lot.
Why didn’t the losing team bust out their secret weapon like a dog that can pitch 90mph or a goat that can hit 500 foot home runs? Are you saying these things don’t exist and Hollywood lied to us?!
Hot take- shitty programming like ‘Get Up’, which I swear bumped a Sprotscenter re-air or two from the Worldwide Leader’s morning line up (whether it did or not) are what’s wrong with ESPN (i.e. why they’re losing viewers), not whatever ridiculous political agenda people swear they’re pushing when they are, in fact,…
