Evidence has been found of women hunting alongside men. OK great. This is when you should start asking questions.

That’s interesting considering that even in more modern societies (look at American Indian societies in early colonial America, for example) men would hunt and form war parties while women did not. You can look at all societies across cultures and time periods and see that historically men are, with rare exceptions,…
Saying the first statement as-is without context will read like a generalization. If you have to explain your statement after the fact, you are not being clear and painting people with a broad brush. How does that not also help men weasel out of accountability?
At the same time, what does generalization do to further the discussion of oppression? You’re not going to reach the Proud Boys/MRAs/misogynists, but how does this line of thinking bring the centrists around to our side?
I don’t think you’re an MRA, I just think you’ve focused too much on sociology and not enough on biology. And, being very science minded, I don’t care for people when they attempt to gloss over it if it doesn’t suit their own beliefs or politics.
Society is not some strange construct imposed on us all that completely goes against our innate natures. Societal norms generally mimic biological imperatives, with some rare exceptions.
I disagree with you. Men are innately different from women, from a biological standpoint. In most mammals, males are larger, more aggressive, more territorial. Deer, chimps, gorillas, etc. I could name a lot more examples if I gave it thought.
Why are facts problematic? That is so strange to me. Google it. Men make up about 97% of rapists and 90% of murders (in the U.S.) Why is that problematic? These are the facts.
Well thanks for the warning. I just don’t agree with you’re opinion. If biological essentialism doesn’t contribute to the patriarchy than why does the patriarchy exist across all religions, all cultures, all countries and across all time? Why does male violence persist (even if you can claim some small exceptions)…
No one is saying that women are biologically non-violent. The fact is that historically, women have been less violent and men have been horrifically so. Biology is only one factor in this, but most men are bigger, have more upper body strength, aren’t hindered by pregnancy, and have more testosterone flowing through…
You are being incredibly disingenuous. Casey Anthony is not a ‘non woman’ of course but men are more likely to commit violent crime. This is a fact.
So why have men, since the beginning of time, been the perpetrators of violence?
I am a man. I see no reason to doubt these statistics. Is #notallmen not a literal thing? I have no association with it (or any other hashtag really, I’m old) but if it is literal it sounds like the opposite would be saying all men are going to murder their intimate partners? Which, just obviously isn’t true. Please…
He isn’t good enough to to wreck some other league. He only ever looked good under Jim because Jim utilized his one and only weapon speed
That’s what a QB3 basically does. They’re a QB coach that can play if the two in front of him can’t. Other than that, hes essentially a coach
As a Lions fan then, you should know that every coach he’s had in the pros has said he’s great with the clipboard and in the film room. That’s exactly the kind of guy you want as a backup to a young QB like Goff. I agree his play was never great, but as a QB3 he’s perfect.
The mother already lost custody of 3 kids before this baby due to neglect and her own father thinks she’s a terrible parent. I don’t think this is eugenics. I think this is just lousy parenting.
Seems clear there is abuse or neglect, which is why the state took the kids. I’m always suspect of parent’s who give sound bites to the media about their children entangled with the law, but I’m inclined to believe her father (the one who helped raise some of the children) is being truthful when he says they’re not…
According to this article, this is her 4th child and third pregnancy.
I was on the subway when this young Muslim couple boarded and I couldn’t help but be pissed off by the incongruity of their outfits. The man was dressed for the warm day: Shorts and a t-shirt. The t-shirt was one of those clever French Connection shirts that says FCUK. The woman was wearing a hijab and a…
