Thank you. The “Democrat Purity Test” is doing literally nothing to help our current situation and will only hurt us in 2018.

The Party of (No) sneezed. I guess we’re seeing that cold catch over here too.

This is not a good take. He’s trying to paint Republicans into a corner with this line. If they don’t come to the table and try to repair ACA, they look unreasonable and it gives Dems even more campaign fodder than just the votes of the last week. They get to be the adults in the room and Republicans will be the ones

So you just want Democrats to do what exactly? Just sit back like Republicans did and take their ball and go home and refuse to do anything? Not govern? Not offer any solutions? It working out really well for the Republicans so far.

Schumer seems to think that bipartisanship is a possibility or, at least, the road Americans want Democrats to take.

Agreed.

I’m sure McCain gave everyone an earful in an impassioned and well reasoned argument; then he’ll roll over like fucking bitch and go party line.

Wow. Remember when Senator Warren was censured for having the temerity to read a letter from Coretta Scott King on the floor of the Senate, because she’d insulted Sessions by doing so? They could not abide that breach in decorum due to a senator.

*Allegedly* the car was slapped. There is no evidence of this because the cops conveniently turned their cams off.

Slapping a car is the common gesture for “Hey! You are the driver I have been waiting for, but you appear to be passing by without seeing me!”

Trump: “So I heard this one story, and it now applies to all 11 million immigrants!”

The AARP is going to come out swinging against the GOP for this one. They’ve already said as much. When seniors lose access to healthcare and their premiums go up, the AARP will make sure the seniors know who to blame.

I the irony of McCain, a man who has been eligible for tax-payer funded healthcare his entire adult life (through the military, VA, and Congress) limping back to Washington (pre-existing conditions and all) to kill this bill is just overwhelming.

In an email to me this morning, my mom wrote “You know, I felt bad for McCain last week, but to leave his sick bed in order to take away other people’s health insurance? FUCK HIM.”

What’s the endgame on that, though? Like, if they pass something then literally EVERY grievance people have about the ACA (legitimate and otherwise) is going to get blamed on them.

I’m just glad John McCain has returned from his sick bed to do away with whatever goodwill remained for him.

This is the GOP saying, “we can’t repeal it, we can’t replace it, and it won’t completely fail on its own...so we’re going to MAKE it fail.”

Damn these cooldowns are even affecting the articles

I literally said in my comment that providing beta feedback is fine. But the feedback needs to be given in context of the beta itself, and that is not being done. People are acting like this is the final release of the game. I mean hell, one commenter on this article actually said they are worried about a lack of

A 10 year off/on/off/on relationship may have died its final death over the casting of this character. I am remarkably unbothered by that fact.
