I see what you did there.
I think both of them are more enamored over their zombie-killing knives than anything else. If ever there was a Chekhov's Knife, that was it.

Carol making the death casserole was, no lie, the most Metal thing on this show. If anyone deserves a NIN soundtrack over them, it's her.
Tripped out Erik Adams: "Whoaaah"
"So, like, Paul is dead, you guys"- Erik Adams
Yep - seriously underrated movie, and it captured Dredd much better than the campy Stallone version. Dredd never took his helmet off!
Interestingly, I first heard about necklacing from an issue of The Black Panther roughly 25 years ago (the practice had moved to Wakanda evidently), where T'Challa was thwarting an assassination.
The Shield did it first.
What's great about the Flair interview was how it tied in with Laettner's image of arrogant privilege, when, as mentioned in the review, IRL Laettner came from a working class background. To use another wrasslin' touchstone, it's not unlike HHH's persona, which came about not long after Laettner's run. Paul Levesque…
Yep exactly that - there's more heads-up tackles in rugby, and very little leading with the head.
Since her divorce, she has "F. U." money at this point, and should be able to choose whatever role that interests her. While it's crass for Sam to bring it up in the interview, Barkin not having to settle for paycheck roles anymore due to the generous divorce settlement opens up a new dimension: what makes Ellen…
Especially since she re-upped with him in Ocean's 13 too. I loved that movie, though it would probably qualify as a 'paycheck' role for her - not that she needed it at that point.
No, I don't think it's feasible- it sort of started out as a thought experiment that expanded out. It's an interesting idea, but it would be a tough sell to essentially go backwards in technological development.

You are right about the NFL. The big problem with that in boxing is there's a collective shrugging of shoulders and a "meh, whaddaya gonna do" attitude. To a certain extent, at least football has (belatedly) taken notice - though it took legal action for the League to actually be made to DO something. With boxing,…
Liked for the "I take care of this place while the master is away"
There was a time in late 2009 when all I would listen to while working on spreadsheets and pivot table modeling was Vampire Weekend. It was happy music to go with a tough time at work in my life; I think it helped with my sanity while working in a singularly awful job.
You're not wrong about any of this (and interestingly, there's been some calls for football to go back to the leather helmets of yore, in order to make someone think twice before using their noggin to launch into opposing players). The biggest difference between the two sports tho is that there are specific rules in…
