I read that to mean 5% of his body is like Brad Pitt, so it’s fair to say he looks like Brad Pitt. Maybe he has Pitt’s ears.

He should’ve just promised to move to Canada. Nobody EVER follows through on that one!
It already is affordable. And before anyone bitches that it isn’t. It is. It’s just not VALUED by you at its current price.
I hate when people say VR is just a gimmick and not worth pursuing. Even if Augment Reality is truly what we’re looking for (holodeck style) we’re only going to get there off the back of VR’s heavy lifting.
That’s not a billiards shot and has nothing to do with skill.
Doesn’t look like anything to me.

I reallt recommend you hook up your ps2 again, so you can remember what it really looks like.
If I got caught in an Avalanche,
I’d lose all my street cred.
I think it is pretty safe to say that, within 8 years or so, we’ll have 4k+ portable AR/VR displays that are on par cost-wise with today’s smartphones.
The internet requires a whole new device to use as well. It just happens to be a device that most people have elected to possess these days. In the early 90's, a decent computer that would get you on the internet generally cost more than a top-end VR rig does today.
Two other points on VR after reading through the responses to your comment:
You’re not wrong, but you also aren’t talking about VR in its current state. As it stands, the barrier of entry is far too high for the non-gamer and the benefit isn’t enough to attract even your standard gamers to pay a little extra for it. But as development continues and companies are pushing ways to improve it and…
I dunno, the internet makes me pretty sick sometimes.
It’ll be just like the Internet. The powerful will continue to exploit everyone else, but we’ll be able to see it happen immersively.
I hope for them that it’s better in person because that looks like shit in the video. Or, possibly it’s a generational thing and 30 somethings won’t be into it...?
I am a gamer. I own multiple consoles, a few towers, couple laptops, 1000's of games.. all connected to more than a few monitors and lcd tvs.
Maybe it’s the video but with all the flashing lights and the shit flying around the room I can barely tell what’s going on.
