This is quite insightful, as I went through a similar phase in college. I even had the fedora/trenchcoat/katana trifecta. Fortunately, I grew out of it with continued experiences with actual human people.

I saw a production last year with someone else as Arnold, and I actually liked the new guy better. While Josh Gad is stellar and plays a nerd well, the new actor felt much more like a Mormon nerd. Which is a significant distinction if you’ve spent any time around Mormons.
