“According to an email Meyer received on the evening of her death, this potentially put her diploma on hold and also put her positions as a student and an athlete at the school in jeopardy.”

To be fair, I thought the BMW motion gesture was a gimmick when I first saw it but I use that shit all the time now.

Yep. Stanford’s administration could have taken a more measured punishment given the circumstances but instead they took the nuclear option and threatened her entire future. At the very least, the administrator(s) involved in doling out the punishment should be fired.

Well according to him, he was not only the valedictorian of his high school class but he also graduated in the top 1% of his class in college. So either both his high school and the University of Georgia did not teach the fundamentals of the English language or it could be that Herschel Walker is a lying sack of shit

My favorite part in all of this is watching all the GOP/Trumpers/DeSantis supporters saying “Good! Disney is too woke and politically correct and it’s all Chapek’s fault!” None of them have any idea that Iger was the one who has been at the forefront of ensuring representation and inclusion across the company.  They

Fair enough on the age/experience thing but I think the team dynamics between Max and Checo are very similar to Lewis and Bottas. Nico, Jensen and Alonso (yeah I get who Alonso is too) were very much fighting Lewis for 1st place whereas Bottas was there as THE #2 driver much in the same way as Perez is there to serve

I’ve been following F1 since 2011 and in that time there has only been a single black driver, Lewis Hamilton, on the grid and virtually no female drivers. There’s also only ever been one American driver, Alexander Rossi, during that time as well. There have been female team principals like Claire Williams and Monesha

Physical fitness absolutely matters in motorsports. I do High Performance Driving Events (HPDEs) in a normal sports car and at the end of the weekend my body is pretty beat up. I’m not even going half as fast as these F1 cars.

Max is very one-dimensional and is a product of a privileged life and Lewis is the polar opposite. It’s always interesting (and pretty sad) to see Max fans hate on Lewis because he does benign things like acknowledge the crowd during a post-race interview.

That’s honestly the GOP’s best chances at regaining the White House given the current political climate but I don’t think DeSantis would be willing to play second fiddle to Trump after seeing how he nearly got Pence killed during the insurrection.

Mass voter here too. Once the MA Republicans chose Diehl as their candidate, the race was over. All they needed to do was have another Charlie Baker-type moderate on the ballot to have a fighting chance and they couldn’t even do that. Instead we got a far-right, election-denying idiot whose biggest ambition was to get

This seems like a desperate attempt to get the MAGA crowd to come back to Twitter since everyone else, including advertisers, are jumping ship to other platforms. Pretty soon Twitter is just going to be a GOP echo chamber sponsored by MyPillow with Scott Baio and Kevin Sorbo as it’s most followed “celebrities”.

If this is true, then that is absolutely hilarious.  Musk has no idea what he’s doing, which is ironic considering he got his big break at PayPal.

Only a narcissist like Elon Musk could lay off half his company on a whim, permanently ban popular users for making fun of him and then act like he’s the victim while crying about free speech. What a jackass.

Short-term, there is not much, if any damage occurring to the Disney brand. The die-hards will still begrudgingly return to the parks and the first-time or every few-year families are visiting in droves. The #1 complaint visitors had before the pandemic was that there were too many people in the parks. The pent-up

I’ve been a big fan of the Disney parks ever since I was a kid. Used to go every year before the pandemic but honestly I don’t think I’ll return for a long time after visiting last year. Everything was really expensive and overall, it felt like a far more stressful and less fun trip than in years past.

It’s always the CR-V or any non-WRX Subaru in my area.  Most people who own them have no fucking idea how to drive.

I see the same thing in Massachusetts too. All of these Republicans regularly complain about our local politicians and policies yet they all benefit from them. They have no idea what it takes to actually run a functioning state. They’re all idiots.

It’s all BS anyways. None of these people would have ever voted democrat even if the economy was fine. They would find some other excuse like “illegal immigrants” to vote for a Republican ticket. You can’t win with willfully ignorant people.

The Cybertruck has officially become the “Duke Nukem: Forever” of the auto industry.
