This is surprising to me, considering the thing that sold this sketch to me was Hanks’ obvious glee in playing the character.

Agreed; Spare Parts is fantastic (and uses Mondas Cybermen voices!); another very popular story that was reflected in the new series is the Dalek featuring Jubilee. I’m partial to the stories with the Eighth Doctor, but Big Finish made me love Colin Baker’s Sixth Doctor. If you hear bad things about Sixie, ignore them…
