Not the new Cayman.. But I did have more than a week with a new 911 and acceleration response was horrible. Sound was much less satisfying. Overall, it’s an engine solution for the occasional straight line punch. I got back into my 14 base Cayman and the downgrade was confirmed.

I will probably get a lot of shit for this BUT.... recently my 2014 Cayman (base with 20" carrera classics, sport exhaust, manual) was in the shop, and I got a 2017 911 with like 600 miles on it to use. The 911 was auto with the sport plus (side knob attached to steering wheel) and was sticker priced at $110K.

I have heard that model was rife with issues. Better to get an SC (78-84) or carerra (85-88) when it all got sorted out. Those models all look the same and the SC is bullet proof, the carerra has better transmission .

I have had been leasing manual Cayman’s since the first model every three years. I always got an S up until 2014. That year I got a base model, with the savings I got the 20" sport classics and the sports exhaust. I also did power folding mirrors (city life) a sport exhaust pipe, deleted model and speed yellow gages.
