“This was not one of the car washes where the vehicle is pulled along on a conveyor belt”

Anyone being forced to put in a new engine after only 4 years is entitled to whine. That’s atrocious reliability.

Do you honestly think replacing an engine after 140,000 miles (and only 4 years) is acceptable reliability? It’s atrocious.

Next week’s slide show: best manual transmissions
Answer: Honda S2000 (6-speed, short throws, perfect feel), Honda Civic SiR (dash mounted!)

Great story.

The vent windows on my Cadillac are crank operated. Easily adjustable and don’t blow air in your face at all...unless you want them to.

Yes. Your choices are white, grey, gray, or black.
Porsche is the worst for this. Every paint costs extra (as though you could buy it unpainted!?) and anything that isn’t plain white is an extra $1250. And if you want a nice colour, you’re looking at an extra $2500 - $5000.

Yes. Column shifters! How did that one go unnoticed. They’re so good.

“the best compact GM ever made” - That’s not really much of an endorsement.

Wait, so these “protesters” are supporting a reprehensible bill that already got passed? What exactly were they protesting with their “blockade”?

Wow, America is such a fucked up place.

Tires (especially rears) for a 1st (or 2nd) gen Viper are expensive and can be difficult to obtain, due to their unusual size. 13" wide on 17's.

4-door Wranglers. The reason people put up with a Jeep is for their off-road capability. The length of the 4-door ruins that.
4-door Jeeps: crappy on-road, crappy off-road

Holy mole! That rear overhang is insane!

Vans are overlooked and underappreciated.

I wonder if this is what happened to Project Escargot....

Remember the first time you watched Barrett-Jackson and were stunned when a “normal” car sold for huge money because the VIN had a ‘g’ in it? BAT is the internet version, except the prices are on steroids because everyone has access to the auction, not just rich guys who are actually in Scottsdale.

The more money than brains category is reserved for Range Rover, and Wrangler buyers.

The problem with most of these retro builds is that regulations mean they have to use a modern windshield, which ends up totally spoiling the look.
