The way cars would get bounced back onto the track after hitting the barriers was very unsafe. Hopefully leaving the track as is, and only changing the barriers and runoff areas will appease those who don’t like change.
And as a bonus to the track owners and the wealthy, there will be more luxury…

The correct term is climate change, because the climate is changing. Although the general trend is increasing temperatures wordwide, the effects include increased variability and more dramatic and more frequent exceptional events.
