I saw Take Shelter last Wednesday and I really liked it.  When I was watching it I had opened a window as it was one of the first nice nights we've had, and during the closing scene a gust of wind nearly made me jump.  Also, holy shit can Michael Shannon act!

I went over to Milwaukee with my cousing and father and saw John Prine play at the Marcus Center.  I've seen him a couple of times now but this is the first time outside Madison.  While the show was as excellent as you'd expect from a long-touring pro like Prine I was just a bit put off by the mostly older audience's

Yeah, that Fallon interview was pretty great.

This, definitely.  I don't believe I've had a worse hangover this year than the morning after having around seven caipirinhas at a party in August.  I don't normally go for sweet drinks and almost never drink rum but these tasted so fucking good.

Yep, and it was #23 on their list last year.  It was my favorite record of 2010 at the time, though The State Lottery's When The Night Comes has edged it out by a nose looking back.

I only have listened to one of these - the Decemberists.  I kind of found 2011 to be a down year for new music overall, though there were a few bright spots like The King Is Dead.  I must have been stuck in my own music bubble or something because I normally at least have heard of most if not all of the artists listed

My old roommate is a helicopter pilot in the National Guard.  When we were living together it was always a race to get home before him so I could tune into Vs (then OLN) and watch that night's hockey game.  If he beat me home it was a guarantee the TV would be tuned to the Military Channel.  I didn't so much mind

Those wigs were pretty awesome.

I've always liked "Let It Ride" of Cold Roses.

I loved the dog and the wine too.

As a UW alum whose parents both went to IU, I strongly support Arnett's claim.
