Although it does it in a totally different way—Looking shoots SF like a love letter to the city, Mr. Robot captures NYC in a very dark, dank way that underscores whatever's going on in Elliot's head—it's scratching my itch for a show that shoots a city well after I finished my Looking rewatch.
