I’d add to Mr. Vanilla at the beginning, that cheating has nothing to do with her request. Cheating is intrinsically linked to lying, hiding, and betrayal. She’s trying to approach you with honesty, openness, and directness. She’s giving you an opportunity to discuss her wants and needs and run if they don’t coalesce…

Though I enjoyed the game, I did find the story beats bland at best. It is just the continuous recycling of old material, with (to steal your phrase) criminally underdeveloped characters.

A game that’s really cool for normal people sounds amazing. I ditched magic years ago due to all the reasons this seeks to rectify.

I would add a huge caveat:

“Demoralizing grind” is an apt description of my WoW experience prior to my leaving the garne during warlords.
