it's not like it's better or worse than GFWL, because nobody cared about them anyways, only some people cared enough to try and avoid it.

it's difficult, but it still happens.
bad company 2 has been cheap at least 3 times on steam. I doubt it'll ever get lower than $6
I'll still play them when I'm 70! until my motor and mental skills allow me.
besides the price (obviously) the best thing about steam is that when you move you don't have to carry hundreds of boxes with you.
It seems it was just the other day that even kotaku was saying "PC gaming is dead/dying"
no, the extreme thinking is "I hate everything that's not steam, so much, that I'll go and punish myself by buying the ps3 version.
they usually let you preload big/important games. And when the day comes, you only have to download a little bit, and everyone can play.
hating it to the point of going to a lower quality version, that's what I meant by extreme.
it's battlefield....
oh come on, that's taking it to the xtreme
I'd say "convenient" is a personal thing.
but you're going to have to download origin then.
BF3 is not a single player game!
2. That preorder stuff, they said, will be available for everyone else to unlock like regular weapons after xmas.
they probably wanted to measure how big the shitstorm would be
the title should be "Is Battlefield 3 skipping millions of consumers?"
normally for big releases, they let you pre-download it like a week before. You download 99% of the game before it's released, and when the release time comes, it downloads the rest, and you can play.
i think you made a typo there.
All these "requirements" are always stupid.
