But I would know…
My conscience wouldn't let me.
But I would know…
My conscience wouldn't let me.
LOL!
I was going to mention that, but I felt it wouldn't be appropriate since I didn't actually watch the show.
<—- *Remembers when Isis was a name from Egyptian mythology and not the name of a terrorist group.*
FYI: That story was used as a sub-story in the Vincent Price movie The Masque of the Red Death. He was one of the survivors along with the "girl of his dreams."
Marge: Go crazy?
Needs more cow… bell.
To make it worse for United - this happened before the "to-do" happened.
;-)
Just for the "heck of it" I "looked up" the companies that are in my closest airports.
As a good gesture, they also gave him a United Airlines mugshot!
FIFY
LOL!
In a complete reversal of this story - Delta paid a family $11,000.00 to give up their seats.
It makes look more like that United just didn't want to "shell out" any more money for people to change flights.
LOL!
I clicked on "load more comments" again and "lo and behold" the very next comment was about Little Caesar's.
Well, I only made the comment with "tongue firmly in cheek" - I was just being facetious.
Hmm…
I see no mention of Godfather's Pizza or Little Caesar's pizzas in the comments. I guess there is "no love" for these chains.
Well, that's what they advertised in the 80s. It was a new item so…
LOL!
That's how we felt at the time.
My personal experience with pizza didn't have Pizza Hut… when I was growing up the company hadn't put one in our area, yet. We had to drive 60 miles to get to the closest Pizza Hut.
Just to add some clarification here…
The flight wasn't really overbooked - they wanted to take off paying customers so that their employees (who fly for free) could get on the flight.
Well, I'm partial to Led Zeppelins myself…
Hmm… I think you're thinking of The Jaunt.
The family has to be kept asleep while the transfer is taking place, but the boy want's to discover what happens during the trip - though the bulk of the story is a history of the jaunt.
Just an addendum to this story…
On the story in The Louisville Courier-Jounal one of the commenters claim that she was on the flight as well (behind the man) and had overheard the man who was dragged out saying that he had just come from LA.
Apparently this was a connecting flight for the guy.
