Have to say I agree to a point. I have too many hobbies (there, I said it!). But I enjoy them all. If I dropped one to focus more time on the others, I'd miss the one I dropped fairly quickly. I've gotten into the mode that I'd prefer to dedicate 20% each to 5 hobbies instead of 100% to 1. But, hey, to each his own.

That's good, because it should, actually. The fact that Gmail couldn't save a draft of the message means an unencrypted version of your email could not be saved to Google's servers. This means your data is never unencrypted at rest, and the extension can't be circumvented by Gmail auto-saving draft messages.

That is true, they also couldn't scan for malware. That is why I'm of the opinion of instead of making encrypted by default - have a button so you select which emails are encrypted.

Agreed - NSA or no NSA, at the very least this can get people thinking about email encryption, and how important it is to secure their messages even if they're not talking about something specifically sensitive. At my last job, our security engineer used to get an alert every time a message went through the mail…

It's difficulty to "non-computer people" to learn about privacy, because of the difficulty and length of steps required to do so. This addon should make this task easier.

A simple brita pitcher filter is usually all you need, but it's not the only way to go. I remember when a relative got one, we all were thrilled, and then many of us started taking water from the tap again because it somehow tweaked the flavor and made it even worse. That was particularly weird water to start with.
