Blair Waldorf, the best character
Blair Waldorf, the best character
I said “carhole” in front of my realtor (it became a household word after reading McMansion Hell) and she literally did not know what I meant. “We really don’t need 3 car holes.” “I’m... sorry?”
With the additional British meaning as “hit”, it’s also possible to twat a twat in the twat. Only if you want to really confuse matters.
Mangos are delicious.
Can she do Katie Hopkins as a two for one?
I was reading a profile of him and s tribute by his best friend and he reminded me so much of one of my best friends, I started sobbing in the elevator at work. His boyfriend’s tweet asking him to come back and watch last night’s Corrie with him was heartbreaking. He seemed like such a fun, positive person. And anyone…
Oh, man.
OK, I went to the link to his mom’s craft store and it’s breaking my heart - everything is sold. I am assuming people did this to show their support for him, but sometimes people are amazing:
I was reading about him on The Pool and it made me profoundly sad. He seemed like a lovely, funny, genuine person. And he had a Deirdre Barlow tattoo!
Seeing soldiers on the streets in small bucolic market towns will, I fear, make the Tory landslide a double-landslide.
I’ve been making it a point to read and find out more of each of the victims as they are named. I was reading through Martyn Hett’s twitter, a young man who tragically was lost, and he gave me an unexpected laugh this morning:
“One of the most depressing things about the last year, for women, has been to realize that no matter how far a woman climbs in her career, she will never command the same amount of respect as a man. We saw it when Hillary Clinton lost to an old guy who doesn’t have a brain, again when Elizabeth Warren was silenced by…
I mean, did we actually think that climbing the career ranks would garner us more respect? Its like saying, “see! I can do what you do just as well as you can” and expecting men to be happy about our encroachment. We dont have to prove that we are respectable, we already are. It’s like trying to get validation from an…
I see a bit of advancement here in that we are at least aware enough to object to this. There was a time when women would not have objected but would have thought this was absolutely correct behavior to interrupt women. Women are becoming more aware of abuse and therefore have a slight chance of changing it.
This effect is not limited to the male Justices: the male advocates also regularly interrupt the female Justices. This is surprising, both because the Court’s guidelines explicitly prohibit advocates from interrupting Justices, and because the Chief Justice is supposed to intervene when this occurs.
who cares? the women who he violated, i’d wager
I live outside the US and I can count in my personal circle 8 different people who had planned to go to the US this year and have decided agains it simply because there is no draw anymore and the culture seems awful to them
This one? It’s a good read and yes, even the Irish guy interviewed in the video is able to point out the difference between how he’s treated and how brown immigrants are treated.
He’s on some George Zimmerman self appointed border/customs agent ish.
I just wrote the same thing. This is the most poorly thought-out bigotry in the history of poorly thought-out bigotry, which is to say ALL bigotry.
