Yeah, I’d love to fucking move on.  But I’ve got two kids under 5 that can’t be vaccinated yet.  I have to think about them.  And yes, it’s going to be endemic, but our hospitals are fucking full.  Right now.  So stop being a selfish asshole, and think about others for a minute.

While I love Mars Attacks, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, so today I learned that Jack Black was in it.  Huh.

I did read that Disney’s Q4 would be July-September, but that does feel far off.  I guess She-Hulk and Moon Knight are up first?  Maybe What If? season 2?

I loved Quantum Leap as a kid, and my wife and I started watching Columbo during the pandemic, so needless to say I was really excited when he showed up.  Though with him being the murder victim with maybe 3 scenes, I assumed that was an early role for him.  Found out by reading this article that I was wayyyy off on

I remember these books were all the rage in my 6th grade class circa 93-94, and I know I read a bunch of them.  I can’t say I’ve been waiting 25 years for this, but between nostalgia and some intrigue at the formatting of the trilogy/release structure, I’m interested in checking it out.

I tried to watch this show, and I really loved parts of it, and Rachel Bloom was just fantastic.  Butttt, it was just over that cringy line for me and I didn’t make past 3 or 4 episodes.

Cool, I hope you like it!  I’m glad at least someone appreciated the super specific comparison.

May I also suggest Amy Gabba and The Almost Famous? A lot more polished and poppy than the other two, but in a similar vein: https://amygabba.bandcamp.com/album/the-heart-is-stupid

That’s what I thought at first, but Gary talked about being sent to Earth to collect the quintessential human.  Which would mean that he’s been an alien the entire time.  Also, having a fiancée, while something that could have happened in his two or so days of being an alien, is much more easily explained as having

There you go.  That’s some fine hand-waving.

For those curious about some newer ska bands since the article didn’t really mention any:

I have long joked that ska will never die for one main reason - there will always be horn playing marching band kids that want to be in a “cool” band.  To be clear, I view this as a very good thing.

Edna’s Goldfish was great!  I think their bassist played in a newer band called The Nix 86 - check them out too.

That’s my only real nitpick - if they’re establishing that he’s always been an alien, but he also wore his glasses to disguise himself, I swear we’ve seen him lose his glasses before. I was cool with it if it was the magic turning him into an alien, but being an alien all along seems like it’s just begging for

Praise Beebo!

I was definitely more aware of the Addams than the Munsters as a kid, but I checked this out because of Bryan Fuller and that cast.  And it was pretty damned enjoyable!  It’s really a shame they didn’t pick that up.

Yeah, they’re about 19 days late with this article.

I love that song and entire album so much.  I just have to appreciate that they took a 5 second joke out of a script, and created a whole set of Christmas songs sung by different Spideys.  No one asked for it, no one needed it, but they did it anyway.

Yeah, as someone who jumped into this era of X-Men without having kept up for a while, the Cable thing confused me. As it was explained to me, he wasn’t exactly de-aged, so much so as a younger version came back in time, killed the Cable we know (something about Old Cable letting the timeline get screwed up by letting

If they put it on Premier Access the same day it opens in theaters, I will gladly pay up. However, if they make me wait a couple of weeks? At that point, I’ll just keep waiting until it’s moved from Premier Access to regular D+.
