I have only watched a fraction of what you've watched, but they are an enjoyable and kind of calming experience.  I've seen them live a bunch of times, from a house show up to several hundred people, and they always kill it.

If you’re like me and at first just skip past this trailer, do yourself a favor and watch it.  And keep watching it.  It starts out and you may think, oh, this seems pretty standard, don’t know anyone, oh wait, is it because that guy is in it?  And then, BAM, where the hell did that come from.

I love this for two reasons:

I think it’s an evergreen movie. About 3 years ago, the wife and I went to see it with an orchestra playing the score live. There were a lot of kids there, and they were laughing at it just as much as I did 30 years ago. It’s definitely one of the long lasting holiday staples.

I think the trailer for the Final Girls popped up in the comments a couple of days ago.  I think it was left off a list or something?  But see, they get sucked into a movie, not a VHS tape.  Totally different premises, I have no idea where the confusion could come from. (/s, obviously)

Maybe not earth-shattering, but it combined horror comedy, timeloops, and meta-humor from getting sucked into a movie.  And I will watch most movies that have any of those 3 in them, so all 3 was just absolute catnip for me.
