I would have said that as well a few years ago - but we have that on the 405 in Seattle now - and those merge points cause so many back ups that any benefit gain is completely offset.... we spent 200 million and ended up with a an outcome worse than we had a decade ago.  State DOTs are still learning....

yep, you can still get a manual 4cyl 2wd king cab for less than 21k - and it’s not a bad little truck - AC, intermittent wipers, stereo, cruise, cloth seats...

yep - and don’t under sell the value to older folks. I work with some mid 20's folks who we found out have no knowledge about how lending, collateral, credit scores, debt collection, etc - all those really basic financial structures work. Several of us tactfully talked them through some basics in a non-judgmental…
