That I've definitely noticed. The show used to be really good about that - there would be some little detail that I wouldn't really notice, but they'd tie it back in and it was great. Now, fairly obvious things usually get ignored.

I liked it, but was surprised at the guy's lack of self-defense ability. With no training, I'm able to sometimes block jabs from friendly sources that catch me by surprise. This guy was told point-blank, but still didn't even move his hands to block it.

I think it was the long sleeves/pants combined with constant injuries, and the way the son acted around the dad. And even then, it wasn't conclusive until they asked him (also, I don't know much about drugs, but aren't those marks usually on arms, but not legs?).

Haha, except they've brought up Irene like 50 different ways without even counting the times Fiona was involvedā€¦

Well, you need to be involved with the creation of the bunker, but limiting it to you and family seems like a bad idea.

Curious what you mean by retconning?

I only half heard it when he said it, so I didn't get the reference. I'm glad you mentioned it.

I dunno - while Sherlock is certainly very open about sex when not in a relationship, he's also smart enough to know that most people don't feel that way (particularly in a new relationship that's just finding its footing)

That's what you get for skipping the "Previously, on The Flash" intro tidbit. Once every three months, it's useful.

Haha, I hear you on that. I would have kinda liked it for that same reason, but it also would have made me hate things more.

Most bodyguards I've seen tend to shoot to kill in a situation like that. Not something Ollie condones any more (at least in theory)

I feel the opposite.

Laurel seemed fairly competent, and reasonable in her hesitancy to put her dad on the witness stand.

To be fair, the ministers had never been the target, and Diggle being the minister would have meant he couldn't have engaged in fighting while disguised.

Originally, yes, but I believe that the person who came up with the term expanded the definition, and Gwen would in fact count.

Speaking as a semi-comic book geek, the odds of her knowing which issue is the expensive one without being the geek herself are pretty darn small.

I assume Mycroft would have to reappear if Morland died, in a funeral episode.

But it's not just about locality.

Don't forget the Syrian, Nigerian, Burundi, and other flagsā€¦

Yeah, the writers keep dropping the ball as far as making characters consistently intelligent.
