Zoom seems cruel and malicious. It's not "Sorry, I have to do this to save my son" or whatever.

It has to do with how Marvel sold the movie rights to FF back in the day
I commented to my roommate that having a father/son moment between Barry and Henry is almost cheating, because it pretty much automatically makes the whole episode great.
You could be right. I figured that after the talk from Dad, he was "over it", and thus it was Grodd who triggered it. I don't know
I don't know a whole lot about prison, but after living stacked with other inmates like sardines, solitude might be great. Plus, all the tension I would imagine there might be, worried that someone is going to shank you or something - something relaxing might be ideal
You mean the Netflix shows? Agents of SHIELD abandoned "realistic and grounded" a long time ago.
Grodd did make Barry relive the paralyzation, didn't he?
Except he obviously trusts them enough to not crush Barry's skull.
Good point. In Scott's defense, I'd similarly found it weird that Cisco had freaked out like that
Yeah, that's why he told her to strap herself in, and she complied (or it's implied that is what happened).
You mean purple characters?
Sprain maybe, but as long as you're deliberately jumping (and not pushed or whatever) you probably shouldn't get a broken bone from that at her age. Besides, hobbling is annoying, but less so than getting shot.
That's fair.
Are we assuming that she has osteoporosis? Jumping out of the 2nd floor is usually less than 20 feet up. I've jumped from that distance several times.
We have a strange definition of 'filler'.
Do mean she would be fired for not investigating the death of her own mother?
1. We now know more about Leonard and his sister, what motivates them, what might cause them to act in a heroic manner, etc. Lots of development there, and it opens up a lot of potential. It also changes the previous dynamic of Barry "owing" Cpt Cold, and now the dynamic between Golden Glider and Cisco has changed.
My roommate is both gay, and a Republican (although given how bad the GOP field is this year, he's said he might vote Democrat).
If she was on the 2nd floor, she could have just landed and run away.
Considering Barry and Patty just met, and didn't have the whole phone number confusion until the end of this episode, I think that the pacing (so far) is quite reasonable
