I was actually thinking something similar, but forgot because OMG WTF just happened!!1!

If someone close to me - daughter, son, friend - whoever, was thinking of getting married, and I was absolutely convinced it would be a terrible idea, I would tell them so. And I would hope they would do the same for me. People who think they're in love tend are often idiots, and an opinion from a wise, trusted friend

It seems almost nobody saw it coming

I don't entirely disagree with you, but I'd argue that every single one of those actresses has done well in their role at some point, which indicates the problem may not lie with them

Eddie specifically said he didn't need permission/blessing. That said, when he was surprised and got a "No" answer, just ignoring that would have made giant problems

Barry and Iris are clearly not related even remotely. I mean, that is the problem, right? Actual incest, as opposed to "someone I happened to be raised with for the 2nd half of my life"…?

I like Jemma's end result, but how she got there is so annoying to me it detracts from the whole thing. It's the whole Anakin Skywalker problem - her going towards the Dark Side was so abrupt.

I loved the fight scenes, but Jemma's stuff irritates the heck out of me. I don't mind her developing, but there's just been so much of it and it's been so abrupt (and sometimes not realistic or explained at all).

Considering how contrived the earlier episodes often felt to me, I'm kinda glad.

Yeah, May's dialog bothered me in that scene. She has an ex who she's still on good terms with, who happens to be a professional therapist that works with SHIELD. What was she expecting?

Yeah, I thought about the "forcing my lesbian daughter into marriage" angle, but then thought about "forcing this brainwashed near-stranger to think he stabbed his friend, then forcing him to marry my daughter and kill his whole city" angle.

Definitely agree with Nyssa. She should be way better than Ollie. Disagree about Maseo and Merlyn. They're both pretty new to their League training, and I think Ollie's had more training overall, at least compared to Merlyn

I think a lot of people would be okay with a bunch of human traffickers being murdered, if they didn't have to do it themselves, and weren't made to think about it too much.

(May be from one of the other mystical cities of heaven as well. I'm not versed enough in K'un-lun to know, but if I had to guess, I might say it was more likely one of the other cities than K'un-lun)

She supposedly speaks all languages, and her home is a lot farther away than China. So yeah, not sounding like a normal human from Earth

How about instead of just deriding my statement as being ridiculous and me as being biased, you provide actual examples so I can actually reply to you?

I missed that the flashbacks were bookended with shots of Fisk, although some of that may have been to make it more obvious that they were about Fisk (esp before the first one). And I can definitely understand giving the benefit of the doubt.

I mostly agree with you. But since Karen is the primary female, her being a problem is a big problem.

Terrible typo? Man, that's harsh…

I think part of it is a cultural shift to TV being accepted as a real, valuable medium.
