Oh, I don’t disagree with that in the slightest for a carry gun. If they’re planning on collecting or getting into one of the sports though, a 1911 might not be a terrible choice.

Longtime Android (and Samsung!) user. I got a new iPad for $250 nearly 2 years ago, and its great. Nothing in the Android space competes for the price, unless you go super cheap and get a Fire tab (sorta Android...).

Agreed. Those are definitely not mistakes. Intent was there the whole way.

At this point, Brian Williams is more of a story-teller on a news outlet rather than a reporter. The Katrina claim and his helicopter ride in Iraq come to mind immediately.

Most Americans aren't racist. His campaign ad isn't racist. He called her that right in front of native American veterans and they laughed. They weren't offended at all. They are offended at Elizabeth Warren lying about being native American.

I’d like to hear from Ho Lee Fuk myself.

This. It’s so clear that the profit motive outweighs any interest in reporting facts that I can’t believe people ever think otherwise. Grow up, people. It’s been like this since the dawn of time. Only nowadays, the fabrication of “truth” can be disseminated on an industrial scale.

Appreciate it, thanks!

Ah the taste of a cool island breeze. I like it.

Hmm but I like Pina Coladas!

They’ve probably got a couple sets of magnets that index it and hold it reasonably still in either position.

Yes, but it’s needlessly difficult *and* turning off the goddamn updates isn’t a real solution. Scheduling them to occur at a reasonable time is, and charging people more to have that control is, well. both annoying and typical Microsoft.

Honestly, I have never understood this perspective. My (older) laptop has two USB ports, it’s true. And I seldom, if ever, use more than one. When I get to my office, I plug in a power cable and a USB cable that goes to a hub. If my machine supported USB-C, it would be one cable.

$1000 for an ARM platform? And doesn’t it still have the same software limitations?

I like to use it with Procreate and the Apple Pencil at figure drawing sessions, especially for the gesture poses.

I thought we already knew the answer to this

Who tf do you know that’s going to decide whether to get the new iPhone or an Android because of different amounts of pixels on the display. The OS is still the defacto deciding factor.

But you choose where to work. It’s not dictated to you. Apply for another job. If nothing is available, one needs to get training to do something better or work your way up through the ranks.

So, my co-worker Jesse, who makes a good income, but has a side-job as an Uber driver has to have a living wage from that job? Why? He’s already making a living wage and has chosen to work for Uber in his spare time because he’s enjoying both the work and the extra cash.

Perhaps some of these people are only doing these types of jobs for supplemental income?
