Based on my math 7 years of $14/mo is $1,176. I’m not so sure you couldn’t have bought modems for that amount of money. I just bought a modem capable of 2Gbps for $185. I could get 6 modems for $1,176.

Doesn’t it seem a bit unethical to sign you up for a plan that the equipment doesn’t support? It wasn’t that hard to find a compatible modem, install it, call Comcast and have it activated. I’d rather save the $14/mo for Netflix of Disney+

Well given that they told me the modem was compatible and given that I can prove the modem is operational then I have no doubt they will come and investigate why my service isn’t working.
