He’s talking population, not physical size.

If you let us lock you up and put you on display I’m sure you would get similar care.

Well, I have to wonder about that. I did order something from them recently, I wasn’t expecting to see it for literally a month. It’s arriving today, maybe 4 day turn around. And it’s definitely a non-essential item.

Well, that is one possibility.  And you can bet it’s coming, maybe sooner because of corona.

I’m pretty sure I don’t need that new 65" TV or that Echo Show any time soon. I’m pretty certain I can live without that new sound bar or a new Fire Tablet for a month or so. Like I said, essential. Get enough people to handle the basic needs like grocery items, medical supplies and such and the rest can go home and

to roll out better protections for workers

If it’s pennies then why does NY need someone to give them ventilators?

The thing is as you pointed out, there is not an unlimited supply of ventilators. Nor is there an unlimited supply of money to buy them.

You’re entitled to your opinion.

No, I think the problem is there are limited supplies and when supplies are limited it tends to raise the price of those supplies as evidenced by Cuomo’s comments about bidding wars for ventilators. I think the problem is that some states don’t have the kind of funding that states like New York have and when those

He’s not the only one

So if it’s all on the right why then is it that 8 of the 10 states with the most infections are run by Democrats? You can rip on Trump all you want and yet how about Cuomo and his comment that he would not put NYC on lock down because it would cause too much fear and panic? NY waited while Cali and Wash went on

I was thinking more internal finger pointing but yeah, I can extend that to any country. I do think China has a lot to answer for and I don’t think throwing out baseless accusations is going to help their image in any way.

I do agree that some things need to be handled at the national level. With regards to the testing, wouldn’t that really be on the CDC? Do you want a bureaucrat deciding which test is best? I would rather have the doctors at the CDC making that determination. Although, some of our doctors such as the Surgeon General

No harm, no foul. But I understand where you’re coming from. Just because we have some, not being used, doesn’t mean we’re hoarding them. It means we are prepared for when we will need them and we know we will need them.

My understanding of the early testing is that the test were flawed in some way. And in regards to Singapore and Hong Kong they are relatively small places at 5 and 7 million people so it’s a bit easier to get enough test kits out. S. Korea is much smaller than the US at 50M people. Not that this excuses our lack of

No, they don’t have to die but many will. And yes it’s about everyone’s pocketbook. There are plenty of other states with fewer financial resources that are going to need help, but no, Mr. Cuomo thinks New York should get first priority. Sorry, you fucked up Cuomo and I don’t think the rest of us should have to pay

This whole thing has been a shit-show from the beginning. Could we have done more, earlier? Probably. Could Democrats have put their partisanship aside and worked for a solution. Yes. Should people have followed social distancing guidelines instead of going to Mardi Gras or Spring Break in Florida? No doubt about it. C

Cuomo said they were hoarding them, not me. And Trump sent him another 400.

“Give me all the money and do what I tell you when I tell you.”

And do you think Cuomo is doing a great job? The guy who wouldn’t spend money on ventilators, the guy who refused to call for a shelter-in-place order when it could have made a difference? The Governor of a state that has over 1/3 of all the confirmed cases in the US and 44% of the recorded deaths from Covid in the
