I don’t know. Did he vote against bringing in cheaper Canadian drugs? Booker and several other Democrats voted this down, along with many Republicans but my understanding is had Booker and the Pharma Bums voted for it, it would have passed. And he had the nerve to say it was a consumer safety issue as if Canada is

Spoken like a true hypocrite. How about Mr. Booker and his Pharma buddies?

“What we need is a new politics that brings working-class people into our political movement,” Sanders said

What state do you live in? Many states allow voting by mail or absentee ballots.

Libraries are often funded with public money, that is true, however the cost to use them is generally free. The question I would have is for someone who uses the library often how much do they really pay for that service and how does that compare to having to purchase your own copies of books? I suspect, but don’t

I can’t say as I agree. Let’s say you create the design for a device, an amazing incredible device that does something wonderful. Should anyone be allowed to copy that device and manufacture it, at no expense to you, without compensation?

I work from home and have for close to 15 yrs now. That said there are advantages to working in an office setting where you interact with other employees on a daily basis. I know that in years past I learned a lot about Unix and distributed systems because I sat next to a guy who was well versed in that. Had I worked

I find it ironic that the title of this article includes “greedy publishers” all the while complaining they can’t get “free” books. Seems like the greed goes both ways here.

Limiting free supplies will drive some people to just buy the book so they can read it now. Same reason people go to a movie when it first comes out even though it will show up in their HBO subscription in 6 months. Unlimited free ebooks will hurt book sales.

If you are such a hardcore gamer that you need one of these beds in all likelihood you won’t have another person to share a bed with so a single bed is perfectly fine. It just needs a built in Vaseline dispenser.

You do realize that the majority of drug research comes from the US, right?

Um, I don’t know, measles, mumps, chicken pox and maybe a few others.

Assuming you can afford insurance and have it.

I would even go as far to suggest that if government agencies, law enforcement etc are using this service then they should be transparent about that including how many times they have used the service. So, in a way, getting a list of customers and number of uses should be public anyway.

From what I read it’s more like we got your list of bank customers and their account balances. From what the article stated it didn’t sound like they got access to the actual servers.

Is it any weaker than Wyden’s comment? Wyden seems to have forgotten some of the critical US government system breaches. It’s a sort of a my shit don’t stink kind of comment. What if we took his comment and replaced the word company with government?

60¢ to $2 per mask seems to be the range on Amazon currently.  At least for US products.

Medicare for All? The MFA that Bernie once said would bankrupt the country?

I don’t think technology is the problem with nuclear. It’s regulation and the many hoops one has to jump through to get a new reactor built.

Mine is based on multiple comparison points, hers is based on a single metric and while the Lite is slightly smaller that doesn’t make it far superior in terms of mobility or any other criteria. She’s entitled to her opinion and I’m entitled to debate that.
