Regardless of what percentage of subscribers watch these channels they are still the most watched cable channels. At least according to this site.

Recovering cost is different than arbitrarily high prices. Cable companies gouge customers because they can. They literally have no competition.

Some of the new units do have Alexa functionality, I’m not sure what data would be stored in the speaker though. The only thing that it should have is the password to your Wifi, assuming you used it on Wifi.

Really? I see used Sonos for resale on Ebay and even from Sonos direct. I think this does help as compared to just dumping the unit in the trash. Frankly this article is much ado about nothing, to quote the old Bard. 

I don’t see anything stopping someone from reselling an old Sonos, just don’t brick it for recycling purposes. Sonos and others do sell refurb products so I really don’t see the issue.

So you’re mad because you can’t resell your old gear and get a discount from Sonos? Seems like you’re kind of greedy. Why should Sonos give you a discount when you resell your gear? Resell it, get the money, buy something new. It’s not that hard, really.

Yes, I am well aware of bundling channels. But I think you have it slightly wrong. Most of the cost is tied to the popular stations like Fox or ESPN but the “mandatory” stations you have no choice in are the smaller ones that have limited viewership. If those channels were priced separately they would cost a lot…

I think the reality is that the majority of people that watch these movies, including myself, probably don’t focus on every little detail. Considering the first movie came out 43 years ago it’s hard for me to even remember everything that happened. As long as the basic continuity is there and there are not glaring…
