You can buy Thompson’s. Just not fully automatic versions. Banning the AR, however, is different. The AR, while it might look different than other rifles, is in many ways no different than other semi-automatic rifles that no one is even talking about banning.

Sorry, you’re wrong. This is like saying you have freedom of speech, but that only applies to news papers because the Constitution doesn’t say anything about tvs or radios.

Imagine being unable to understand the simple difference between exploitation and a mutually agreeable contract. Also imagine not understanding that “living wage” is a mythical concept that has no meaning in the real world.

Every company is trying to make a profit from the labor of their workers. And workers are trying to make a personal “profit” off the efforts of their company. That’s why it has to be mutually agreeable. I’m pretty sure we don’t have indentured servitude any more so if they are working there and don’t like the pay they

If there were jobs for them that paid better why wouldn’t they go to them now? The whole point is many of these minimum wage people don’t have any marketable skills to get higher paying jobs.

Good try, but no. I did no such thing. If you have a counterpoint, make it. Otherwise go peddle your race baiting somewhere else

I am all for people earning a living wage by having skills that they can leverage in the employment market to make a living wage. But why do you think every job should earn a “living wage”? What makes every job worth that? You seem like a reasonable person and I think you would agree that the term living wage is a

Actually I do have a right to operate a legal business if I have the means to start one. That does not mean I am entitled to own a business and have someone else pay the business bills. You have a right to food and shelter but that does not mean you are entitled to walk into the grocery store and take whatever you

Get down off your soap-box. No one said anything about “exploiting” workers. An employment agreement is a mutually agreed upon compensation plan for worked performed. If you don’t like the pay plan I can’t force you to work for me.

I’ve said this many times. This is how the media likes to obscure the facts, by only talking about “gun” deaths and including suicides. What should matter is murder rates. Suicides are voluntary, murder isn’t. Including suicides in the numbers is just a trick the gun grabbers use to inflate the numbers.

While you may be a gun owner you clearly are lacking in knowledge about guns. Want to get rid of them? Take them to a pawn shop or a gun store in your area. They will sell them legally and with background checks. Easy as pie. Depending on the state you live in a background check may be required for a private sale.

The gun show loophole is a myth. You could have just as easily bought that firearm from the crack dealer that lives next door.

And then what do you do with the unemployed? I’d rather someone work a job and have to supplement his income rather than completely subsidize his financial needs.

I disagree. Regulation is not the answer to everything. You can “regulate” that I pay people a certain wage but that won’t make my business viable. You will regulate some of these business out of business.

that may one day give full employee status to workers engaged in the gig economy

And time to show that Ms. Atwood’s comment is largely incorrect.

I agree it’s irrelevant, unless he had access to tools as an autoworker that helped him build his bombs. But, if he was a nurse or delivered babies, that probably would have been noted.

flying a DJI Phantom 3 drone that wasn’t registered with the Federal Aviation Administration

For me this is perfect. We have an outdoor patio at our restaurant. It is not covered and on non-rainy days we get a lot of people sitting outside. This speaker would allow us to simply pick up the unit and walk it outside, when it rains or at closing time, back on the charger inside. Easy-peasy.
